It’s been exactly 500 years, give or take, since I’ve written anything that could be mistaken for a blog post.
Except maybe it’s actually only been a decade or so.
Sometime between LiveJournal falling out of favor and WordPress initially becoming a thing is where I think I stopped writing daily, weekly, monthly (or whatever) thoughts on things. The itch to pick it back up and get used to sharing snippets of life and interests finally got so insistent I am Doing the Thing(tm).
I tried to Do the Thing(tm) last year, too, actually. On January 1st, 2020 I sat down, bought some space for myself on the world wide internets, and I said to myself, “Self, this is gonna be the year to Do ALL the Things(tm)!”
So why now? What is Doing the Thing(tm), really? What is a Boopsmith? And, also, who even am I to be a-blogging?
All extremely good questions and most of which I have no idea of the answer to!
For now, what I can say is that I am Boops (and likely if you’re here reading this post near to when it’s first posted, you already know that and know me to some degree). I’m a seamstress-nerd-cosplayer person but no one of real note at the moment. I like to make things and I like to share them with other people.
The main purpose for starting this blog is to have somewhere to dump some random thoughts and photos as well as some potentially more organized ones around sewing, crafting, and cosplay.
The rest I kind of hope to figure out along the way and anyone interested is more than welcome to come along. :3/
I will be working on getting themes and things for the blog sorted over the next week or so before starting in on my first big project in a long while, so please excuse the mess in the meantime.
